Jaggery Recipe - Healthy Sweet Rice - Vrat, Pooja, Naivedyam recipes

Super simple fix for sweet cravings. Healthy too. I love the fact this can be done with left over rice. You can do this with brown or white rice. I have done it with brown rice. So simple naivedyam recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cup Cooked rice
  • 1/2 cup jaggery + 2 Tablespoon
  • 3 tsp Ghee
  • 1 tbsp cashew nuts
  • 1 tpsp Sesame seeds
  • 2 tsp raisins
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1/2 cup fresh coconut gratings

Instructions

  • Heat ghee. Add cashew fry till slight brown color. Add raisin and fry till puffs up. Remove it.
  • Heat jaggery with 1/4 cup of water till it melts. 
  • Add Cooked rice mix well. Add cardamom, Coconut, Fried nuts
  • Mix well. switch it off. If you fry for long rice will become hard
