Thattai Chat

Our family is big fan of chats. Normally I do Bhel Puri or Pani Puri. We also love both green chutney and sweet chutney I always keep those chutneys in my fridge. I was bit lazy to do puri. Since we just came back from India we had some titbits like Thattai at home. So I told my kids we can try to make chat with Thattai instead of normal Papdi or Puri. They said why not! it tasted great

Ingredients:

Thattai – 12-14
Cooked black channa – 1/2 cup
Potato – 1
Tomato – 2
Yogurt – 6 tablespoon (I have used Vanilla flavoured yogurt)
Onion – 3 tablespoon (finely chopped)
Green Chutney As required
Sweet Chutney As required
Avocado paste (I had this in the fridge as I have prepared for breakfast) – 3 tablespoon
Sev – 4 tablespoon


Method

Cook Potato and remove the skin. Cut them into 1/2 inch cube
Chop Tomatoes into smaller junks
Arrange the Thattai in the plate. ( I have broken that into bite size for the kids). Put 1/2 teaspon of channa. Keep 1 or 2 pieces of potato. Add 1/4 tomatoes and Onion. Add 1/2 tablespoon of Yogurt and 1/4 teaspoon of avocado. Top it off with Sev. Serve immediately otherwise thattai will become soggy

Enjoy. Infact you can add diff dhal or more or less of anything based on your taste!
