Simple Potato Fry

During my childhood days when my mum does potato, fry we normally eat it as snack. It will get over even before lunch / dinner time. In contrary my kids not big fan of potato fry. They never liked french fry too. So I seldom do potato fry at home. Today I ran out of other vegetables so decided to do potato fry. 
Ingredients:


Potato – 5 (Medium Size)
Sambar powder – 1 to 2 teaspoon
Salt per taste
Urad dhal – 1 teaspoon
Mustard Seeds – 1/4 teaspoon
Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Curry leaves – 10-15
Oil – 2 tablespoon


Method:


Peel and cut the potato into smaller pieces

Heat the kada and add oil. When oil is hot add mustard seeds. When it start to pop add urad dhal and curry leaves and fry till the dhal i slight brown in color
Add chopped potatoes, salt, Turmeric powder and sambar powder. Mix well. And let it cook (you can close it with lid if you like) I didn’t do it. Mix it in between

Enjoy it with curd or Rasam rice
