Cauliflower Chutney

I love Vegetable chutney. Last week for dosa I had some chutney at home. I asked my helper what that was. It was not tasting like Onion neither tomato. She told me it is Cauliflower. I was surprised by it. I thought we will have some unique taste / smell of cauliflower in the chutney. So I asked her to make it for idli again. It goes very well with idli or dosa.
Ingredients:
Onion – 1(Diced into 1/2 inch cube)
Green chillies – 4-6  (adjust to your spiciness) Chopped into 1 inch  pieces
Ginger – 1 inch (Chopped finely)
Tomato – 2 (slice into 1/2 inch cubes)
Garlic – 3-4 pods (Chopped finely)
Cauliflower – 200g
Oil – 2 teaspoon
For Tempering
Oil – 1 teaspoon
Mustard seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
Urad dhal – 1 teaspoon
curry leaves – 10 -15

Method

Heat the kada add 2 teaspoon of oil. Add garlic, ginger, Green chillies and onion. Fry till onion is brown in color. Add Tomatoes. And fry till tomatoes are mushy and add cauliflower. Add salt and close the lid. Let the Cauliflower cooked. Switch it off and grind to paste

Heat the kada and add teaspoon of oil. Add mustard seeds. When it pops add urad dhal and curry leaves. Fry till dhal is brown in color. Pour this on the chutney. Mix well
Serve with idli / dosa. Enjoy it
