I love anything which adds flavor to plain yogurt. This one can be a dish by itself. Some time I want to have light meals still want to have balanced meal I will go for this kind of salad / pachadi. If you haven’t tried combining yogurt with Potato and pomegranate you should try this. This is really tasty and filling recipe
Ingredients
Potato – 2 medium. (cook and mash it )
Pomegranate seeds – 3 tablespoon
Yogurt – 1/2 cup ( I have used 0% Greek yogurt. But you can use the homemade yogurt)
Onion – 1 (chopped finely)
Oil – 2 teaspoon
Green chillies – 3 (Slit into 2 and chopped into 2)
Urad dhal – 1 teaspoon
Chana dhal / bengal gram dhal – 1 teaspoon
Mustard seeds – 1/4 teaspoon
Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves – 10
Cilantro / coriander leaves – 1 tablespoon (finely chopped)
Water as needed
Salt to taste
Method:
Heat the oil in the pan and when it is hot add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and let it pop. Add urad dhal and chana dhal fry till they are brown in color. Add curry leaves and Onion and fry till onion is transparent or slight brown color. Add green chillies and mashed potato. Mix well. Switch off the flame. Add whipped yogurt, salt and required amount of water. Mix well. Add pomegranate and coriander leaves and mix well.

Hey good recipe and so simple…! I love pomegranates with curds.. I think the flavor is just great that way. I am always been a big fan of pomegranate and I recently discovered KDD Harvest’s pomegranate juice which is a hot favourite of my kids.. can this be eaten with parathas? It will be a good Sunday morning breakfast!
