Since my kids are not big fan of Laddu I seldom do it. But I was so tempted to make Besan flour one. I had just little bit of Foxtail Millet flour. I have added it. It gave a nice flavour to Laddu. If you don’t have just use the Chickpea flour. This is perfect to satisfy your sweet cravings in no time. This is also suitable for last min festive preparation
Ingredients:
Besan/chickpea flour- 1.5 cup
Powdered sugar-1 cup
Ghee- 1/2 cup (melted)
Cardamom powder- 1/4 tsp
Cashew nuts, fried in ghee- 1 or 2 tbsp( optional)
Method:
Melt the ghee. Keep it aside. Dry roast Besan flour and foxtail millet flour (if using) together till aroma comes. Roast it in low flame. It will take about 10-12 mins.
Add the melted ghee and mix well continue to cook till ghee start to oozes out. Switch it off.
Add powdered sugar and cardamom powder. Mix well there shouldn’t be any lumps. When it is warm enough to handle make a ladoo with your greased hands. Decorate it with cashew nuts
store besan ladoo in air tight container and serve when required.

I too make it the same way instead of cooking the flour in ghee. This way we can control the ghee too.Ladoos have turned out so well Veena.I have missed commenting on some of your posts but I have clicked on them for sure. 🙂
