Peas Soup – Peas, Garlic soup with Milk – Healthy starter recipe – Soup recipes – Party recipes

Peas soup is very healthy and simple soup dish. If you want a light dish or if it is rainy/ cold outside, this is a perfect dish. It is also a very colorful dish perfect for a blog post. I do love peas however my 2nd son is not a big fan of peas, especially in a soup… but these days he is in boarding school so I get to try some peas dish. I love the combination of Milk in this but if you want to make it as vegan u can replace it with Cashew or even coconut milk. With toasted bread, you can have it for light meals.

Ingredients:

Peas – 1 cup (Frozen or Fresh I have used frozen)

Garlic – 10 pods (Peal and chop it)
Small Onion/ Shallots – 5-7 (sliced )
Salt to taste
Red chili flakes to taste
Milk – 1/2 cup (I have used full fat)
Oil – 3 teaspoons (I have used coconut oil)
Almond – 10 (Soaked in hot water)
Coriander leaves – 1 tablespoon (finely chopped)

 
 
Method:
 
Heat pan with oil. Add garlic and fry till brown in color. Add onions and fry until transparent.

Add peas and saute for 2 mins. Switch it off. Once it cools down, grind it to smooth paste with soaked almonds.

Add water or vegetable stock (according to the desired consistency), Salt. Let it boil

Add milk, Pepper Powder and Red chili flakes. Boil it for another 3-5 mins

Switch it off and serve hot. Enjoy!
