I have bookmarked this simple bread from gayathriscookspot. I initially thought it would be similar to pancake taste but it came out different more towards scone texture. I loved the fact this can be done almost immediately without any resting time. This is a quick snack for your kids, especially after school. This can be served with your favourite spread (jam, butter or avocado) I loved it with Jam.
Ingredients:
Maida / All purpose flour- 1 cup
Sugar – 2 tablespoons
Salt to taste
Milk – 1/3 (I have used Low fat)
Butter – 2 tablespoons (melted)
Baking powder – 1 teaspoon
Butter for Tawa fry
Method:
Take flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder; whisk it. Add milk, melted butter, and salt. Make a soft dough.
Make equally sized round flatbread shapes.
Heat pan, place bread, and drizzle butter around it. Cook it by closing a lid over the pan for 5 minutes at low flame.
Turn it and cook again for 5 more minutes. Take it and serve.
Enjoy with your favorite spread or alone!
