I visited my mother in law’s place for a short trip last month. I had this kootu for lunch and the paruppu used in it was very tasty and different. When i asked about it they told me it is Red thatai payir (Red cow pea) and they break it using Thiruvai.. Taste was so amazing. I asked her to make some dal for me.
