Dates roll is one of the simpler, and healthier sugar free sweets. In most mixed sweet boxes you will have a few pieces of dates roll or laddoo. Most of the time I will give it out to someone. Last year we went to Dubai for holiday we found so many different variety of dates! Loved a few version. So I bought lot of plain dates too. Not sure how I will finish it. I thought of trying this roll. I made it at the beginning of the year itself. Yes you are right, it took so long to edit and post.. So posts like this falls into crack ..I wanted to post a few sweets for this festive season.. so here you go with post
Ingredients:
Dates – 1 cup
Almond – 2 tablespoon
Cashew – 2 tablespoon
Pistachios – 2 tablespoon
Ghee – 1.5 teaspoon
Poppy seeds – 1 teaspoon
Method:
Grind dates into paste
Chop the nuts. Heat Ghee in a pan. Add nuts and fry till slight brown in color. Add Poppy seeds fry for another 2 mins
Add grinded paste mix well. fry for 3-5 mins at low flame. Switch it off
When it is warm to handle make it dough and make log. roll it in aluminium foil and keep it in refrigerator for 2 hrs
Once done, slice it and enjoy.
Keep refrigerated.
