Rose falooda recipe – Easy rose falooda – Summer recipes

During school / college days our gang visits a couple of ice cream parlours at least twice a week. Whenever we have little bit of time or end early day we end up in these ice cream place. There are times I end up walking home as we use up all our money for having ice creams Smiley . But with the gang it is fun. During last trip to Trichy I heard  one of the parlour we used to frequent is already close down. Flooda is one of their speciality item together with butterscotch. This is first time I did at home. It is very simple (dangerously simple) to put together if you have all the ingredients. I didn’t have sabja seeds instead I have used Chia seeds. But you have sabja seeds or basil seeds pls. use that. If you want to add few Jelly pieces go ahead per your taste. My boys are not big fan of Jelly so I didn’t add

Ingredients

Milk – 2 cups (I have used full cream)
sabja seeds / chia seeds – 1 tablespoon
Vermicelli/ semiya – 1/4 cup
Vanilla ice cream – 1 -2 scoops
Chopped nuts of your choice – 1 teaspoon
Rose syrup – 1 to 1.5 teaspoon (Rose syrup had sugar so I didn’t add any sugar if you want you can add sugar to your taste)
your favourite Jelly – 1 teaspoon (optional)

Method:

Boil the milk and add rose syrup. Chill it

Cook the Vermicelli and wash it off with normal water. Let it cool down. Set aside

Soak Sabja seeds/ chia seeds for 30 mins. Keep it aside

Keep all the ingredients ready. Now take serving Glass. Add Rose syrup, Vermicelli, Seeds, Milk. Finally top it off with scoop of ice cream

Serve chillied. Enjoy!
