Rava murukku – Rava Chakli – Semolina Murukku – Semolina Chakli – Diwali Recipe

This is yet another addictive Murukku. / Chakli recipe. I have seen this recipe in many blogs. I didn’t follow any specific recipe.. I have mixed it for my taste. This murukku came out very crispy . My entire family fell in love with this. When Mentioned that this is made up of rava they were surprised.. you can surprise your family and friends too…
Ingredients:


Rice flour – 2 cups
Rava – 1 cup
Roasted gram dhal powder – 2 tablespoon
Butter / hot oil – 2 teaspoon 
Salt to taste
Red chilli powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Cumin seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
Oil for deep frying



Method:


Grind rava into fine powder

Heat 2 cup of water with pinch of salt. Add Grinded rava and let it cook Switch it off

Take rest of the ingredients and under ingredients section (except oil), Cooked rava and add water little by little and make smooth dough.

Take your favourite shape plate and place it in the murukku press / chakli press. Fill it with the dough. I have pressed it on to a kitchen tissue you can do it behind the laddle or directly on the hot oil too.

Heat oil in kadai, Carefully take the pressed murukku with hand and drop it slowly in to oil (slide thro the side) Cook it in medium flame. 

After 2 mins turn it over and cook till all the sides are cooked or Shhhh sound subside (Bubbles will cease too)

Drain from oil and place paper towels. Let it cool down



Store it in airtight container. This will last for 10 days
