Sev Paratha – Simple paratha recipe – Kids friendly recipe

My kids like all savoury snacks from India. Sev is one of it. I saw this recipe in Sanjeev Kapoor show in internet video. I have clicked this sometime ago.. Every time I visit India my mum pack Sev without telling her as I use it heavily (for chaats or stuffed paratha or just as snack). I find this paratha is perfect combo of flavour and the crunch pieces in Paratha is really good and provide satisfying meal. This can be good party menu..
Ingredients


Wheat flour – 4 cups
Salt to taste
Oil – 2 teaspoon


For Stuffing:


Sev – 1/2 cup
Onion – 1/2 cup (finely chopped)
Coconut – 2 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Oil – 2 teaspoon
Red chilli powder – 1/4 teaspoon



Method:


First make dough. Take a broader vessel take flour, salt and oil. Add water to make soft dough. Keep it aside for 30 mins under wet cloth

Heat kada and 2 teaspoon of oil add onion and fry till transparent. Add coconut, Salt, Red chilli powder and mix well. Fry for 1 min. Add Sev and mix well

Take lemon size ball and roll out to think small dish. Take a 2 teaspoon of stuffing in the middle

Pull all the edges together and close it. And roll into slightly thick paratha.

Heat the pan and when it is hot place rolled paratha and sprinkle oil around it. Let it cook till brown spot appears and turn it over and cook on other side too.

Serve hot with yogurt!
