I visited one of my sister’s friend during last year Golu. My sister keeps very big golu every year. Last year my mum was visiting her too. So we had a good time. I was there for 2 days I ended up visiting about 5-6 houses.  I had this ladoo at one of the houses. Before having this I thought it was moong dal ladoo. After my first bite I realized it is urad dhal. I loved it. I make urad dhal porridge  for my breakfast. So love this version of sweet. It is one of the healthier Ladoo.. Happy diwali to all of you!
Ingredients


Urad Dhal / Urad dal – 1 cup
Sugar – 1/2 cup (I have used raw sugar)
Cardamom – 1/4 teaspoon
Ghee – 1/4 cup or as required
Cashew Nuts and Raisin – 2 teaspoon


Method:

Dry roast Urad dhal till nice aroma released (for me I took about 6-7 mins in medium flame). Let it cool down

Grind to little coarse powder.

Powder the sugar

Heat the 1 teaspoon of ghee and add raisin and chopped Cashew nuts and fry till brown color. Keep it aside. Take a broader vessel and add grinded flour, sugar, cardamom powder, Nuts/ raisin.

Add Ghee little by little till you can hold the flour and make nice ladoo. Take small portions and make ladoos of desired shape. Now it is ready for Naivedyam / neivedhyam

Store it in air tight container and enjoy
