My kids are very big fan of mushrooms. Probably by now you have noticed it with the amount mushroom recipes in my blog. I wanted to try a side dish something without much cream / fat. I love gravies with yogurt. It gives very rich taste to the dish. So I have decided to try mushroom with yogurt.
Ingredients
Mushroom – 400g ( I have used white button mushroom)
Onion – 1
Tomatoes – 2
Yogurt – 1 cup
Garlic paste – 1 teaspoon
Ginger paste – 1/2 teaspoon
Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
Cumin powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Coriander powder – 3/4 teaspoon
Red chilli powder – 1 teaspoon (adjust to your spice level)
Subji masala – 1/2 teapsoon
Salt to taste
Mint leaves – 1 teaspoon
Coriander leaves – 1 teaspoon
Oil – 2 teaspoon
Method:
Clean and slice the mushroom. Keep it aside. Heat the pan and add 1 teaspoon of oil. Add onion and fry till it is transparent. Add tomatoes, ginger paste, garlic paste and fry till mushy. . Add Red chilli powder, Coriander powder, cumin powder, subji masala and fry till nice aroma released. Switch it off and grind it to smooth paste.
Heat rest of the oil. Add cumin seeds. let it crackle. Add grinded paste. Add Mint leaves. Mix well. Cook for another min.
Add sliced mushrooms. Add required salt. Close the lid and let it cook.
Now add whipped yogurt. Mix well. Boil it at low flame for 2-3 mins. Add coriander leaves. Mix well and switch it off
Serve hot
