palak bhaji Recipe – Palak Pakora Recipe – Spinach fritters – Spinach Pakkora – Simple snack recipe – Tea time snack recipe

The other day after my afternoon nap I was having sudden crave for some crispy snacks. My kids love Bhaji I had fresh Palak leaves. Making bhaji is very easy and fast. You can make this under 30 mins. So this one can be a quick treat to your kids / after school snack. You can also hide greens in their favourite snack
Ingredients


Besan flour – 3/4 cup
Rice flour –  2 tablespoon
Asafoetida / hing – a pinch
Salt per taste
Red chilli powder – 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon
Soda – pinch (optional)

Spinach leaves as required
Oil for deep frying



Method:
Wash and dry the leaves separately. Mix all the ingredients except oil. Add water to make a thick batter. 

Heat the oil in deep curved pan. When it is hot dip spinach in batter and put it in oil. Let it cook. And drain the extra oil and place it in kitchen towel and drain extra oil. 

Put dipped Spinach in oil. Let it cook. And drain the extra oil and place it in kitchen towel and drain extra oil. 

Serve hot with sauce / chutney
