Who says Cookies has to be sweet? or must be unhealthy. I saw this recipe at Sharmispassions and bookmarked it. I love the idea of making cookies with whole wheat or multi grain atta and without sugar. Loved the texture and flavour of it. So I have decided to give it a try.. I adopt the recipe from her space with some modification based on my taste and availability of the spices..
Ingredients:
Multi grain Atta – Wheat flour – 3/4 cup (you can use normal atta)
Oats – 1/2 cup (quick cooking oats)
Pepper – 1/4 teaspoon
Curry leaves – few (chopped finely)
Coriander Leaves – 2 teaspoon (chopped finely)
Salt to taste
Rosemary dry leaves – 1/2 teaspoon (you add your fav herb)
Olive oil – 5 tablespoon
Water to enough to make the dough
Method
Mix in all the ingredients in a bowl other than water. Mix well. Now add water little by little and make a stiff dough. Keep it for 10 mins
Pre heat the oven 180 deg C. Take the dough and flatten it with palm or with rolling pin into 1/4 inch round disc. Using fork make small holes all over. Cut them into desired shape. Arrange then into baking tray now brush it with oilve oil. Bake them for 23-28 mins or till the crackers are brown and crispy. Turn them at 12 mins.
Let it cool down and store them into air tight container.. Enjoy this guilt free snack
