Sweet coconut sandwich – Simple vegetarian snack recipes

You are craving for a sweet but all you have is about 30 mins on hand , bread and coconut? Don’t worry you can still satisfy your sweet cravings with this simple yet tasty sandwich. So simple that even you can teach your kids to make it. I had this sandwich at my friends house and loved it. I noted down the recipe from her. So here you go with recipe for this simple yet tasty dish

Ingredients:



Bread – 10 slices ( I have used wholemeal bread)
Grated Coconut – 1 cup
Cardamom powder- 2 pinchs
Sugar – 1 – 3 tablespoon (adjust to your spice level)
Butter / oil – for bread toasting



Method:


Heat the kada and add coconut gratings and fry for a min. Add sugar and mix well. Fry till sugar melts.Add cardamom powder and mix well.Switch it off. Divide it into 5 equal portion

Apply butter or oil on one side of the bread and place it on the grill plate spread the coconut filling and place another bread on the top. Apply butter or oil on the top. Close the toaster and toast till bread is in desired brown color. If you don’t have toaster you can do it on the flat pan. Heat the pan and Put the bread on it (buttered/oiled side have to touch the pan). Place the filling when it is toasted take it out. Now toast another bread and cover it.

Serve hot.
