Maaladu / Roasted Gram Laddu / Roasted gram ladoo / pottukadalai urundai

My 2nd son loves ladoo. Laddu is very simple to make. Even if you are very busy you can do these ladoos in no time. So this is perfect for any last min festival preparation. Even though it is simple to make there is no compromise in the taste. This ladoo is made with ingredients that is available in most Indian houses. Also requires fewer ingredients. I lost all the step by step pics 🙁

Ingredients:
Roasted Gram / Dalia / Pottukadalai – 1 cup
Sugar – 1/2 cup (Adjust to your preffered sweetness)
Ghee – 1/4 cup
Cashew nuts – 2 tablespoon (roughly borken)
Cardamom pods – 2-3

Method:

Take a clean dry blender / mixer / food processor powder the roasted gram. Keep it aside. Now add sugar, green cardamom and powder it. (This can be done earlier when  you find time. Store it in air tight container if you pre prepare the powders.)
When ready to make maaladu in a small pan dry roast the roasted gram powder for 1-2 mins. Let it cool down. Now add powdered sugar. Mix well.
In the same pan melt the ghee. Add broken cashewnuts and fry till it is brown in color. Switch off the flae. Add roasted gram and sugar mixture. Mix well. when it is cool down and you are able to handle then take small amount and roll them into balls (If it is breaking you need to add more Ghee) if it is bit wet it is ok it will be ok next day.
Enjoy the laddu

You can reduce the Ghee I hv tried 2 Tablespoon of Ghee and 3 tablespoon of Milk. Adding milk will reduce the shelf life of the ladoo
