Ragi is my favourite grain. I do every possible dish with it. I do Ragi butter milk very often, for some reason I couldn’t take photos of it. My 2nd son loves Ragi dishes too. My hubby and my first son are not a big fan of it. I do this at least once a week. It is very healthy and filling breakfast
Ingredients
Ragi flour – 3 tablespoons
Water – 11/2 Cup
Butter milk – 1 cup
Salt per taste
Oil – 1/2 teaspoon
Mustard seeds – 1/4 teaspoon
Urad dhal – 1 teaspoon
Green chillies – 2 slit into two
Bengal gram dhal – 1/2 teaspoon
Mor millagai – 3-7 (to your spice level)
Method
Heat 1/2 a teaspoon of oil. Add mustard seeds. When it start to pop add urad dhal and bengal gram dhal, Curry leaves, Mor Millagai, Green chillies. Fry till Mor Millagai is done. Add Butter milk to it and keep it asside.
Fry the Ragi flour till nice small comes. Use 1/2 cup of water and mix it without any lump
Heat the rest of water when it boiling add mixed ragi and salt. Cook it well. Switch it off and add butter milk and mix it well.
Enjoy it hot or cold.
