Ragi Malt

Ragi is my favourite grain. I do every possible dish with it.I love Ragi and jaggery combo. It tastes really nice. Ragi malt is my regular breakfast item. This is one of porridge that my kids eat from their young age. In fact I alternate this with sathu mavu kanji for them when I started solid. This is suitable for any age. So enjoy it
Ingredients

Ragi flour – 2 tablespoons
Water – 3/4 Cup
Milk – 1 1/2 cup (used skim milk. If you are using full fat reduce this to 1 and increase water to 1 1/4 cup)
Caradamom Powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Almonds – 1 teaspoon
Jaggery – 1 tablespoon (I have used  Jaggery syrup 2 teaspoon)
Salt per taste


Method

Fry the Ragi flour till nice small comes. Mix Ragi flour,water and milk without any lumps. Heat the mix and stir in between. Cook it well

Add Jaggery Syrup, Caradamom powder and mix it well.

Top it off with Almonds (or any of your favourite nuts). Enjoy it hot or cold.
