Aloo 65 – Potato 65 – Deep fried Potato – Urulai Kizhangu 65 – Potato Fritters – Fried Snack recipe – Party food

My kids love any crispy snacks But they are not big fan of potato / potato fries. So I was postponing this post. This weekend I had some guests so I decided to try it out. To my surprise my kids loved it too. This is very simple party food to impress your guests. I have followed my recipe for Gobi 65
Ingredients
Potato – 20  small potatoes (or 3-4 medium potatoes cubed)
Rice flour – 1 teaspoon
Corn flour – 1 teaspoon
Red chilli powder – 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder  – a pinch
Garam masala powder – 1/4 powder
Curd or yogurt – 1 tablespoon
Ginger garlic paste – 1/2 teaspoon
Garam flour (Kadalai Mavu) – 1 teaspoon
Soya sauce – 2 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying

Method:

Peel the skin and cook the potato till they are 3/4th done with salt. Let it cool down completely. In a deep curved mixing bowl Add all the ingredients except oil and Potato. Mix well

Add Cooked Potato and mix well. Let it sit for 30 mins. Heat the oil in deep curved pan. When it is hot add marinated Potato. Make sure you have enough space in the pan.  Don’t put too much in one batch.

When it is cooked drain the oil and let it sit on kitchen towel to get drain the excess oil.

Serve hot with chutney or sauce
