I have seen Aval Murukku in many blogs last year for Gokulashtami / Krishna Jayanthi / Janmashtami but got busy with work so ended up with simple Aval curd you can find more recipes for Gokulashtami here and All Poha recipes here. I was not sure about the texture of this murukku. Esp after grinding poha as the dough was bit sticky and also tasted more like vadagam dough. To my surprise, this turned out to be super crispy, light, and super tasty. It got finished within a day! Do try this for this Gokulashtami
Ingredients
In a border vessel add rice flour, roasted gram flour, butter, cumin seeds, butter, grounded poha and make a soft dough (I didn’t add any water to make the dough so add water bit by bit)
heat oil for deep fry. Add murukku once oil is hot. Let it cook. Turn a few times. Once “shhhhh” sound subsides drain extra oil and remove it
