Raita is a must for every weekend meal. It is easy to do and kids love yogurt based dishes. I love crispy boondhi in yogurt. It really goes well with mixed rice. I can have this as snack. For this one we don’t need oil at all. No tempering required. So try this very famous yet simple raita.
Ingredients
Boondhi – 1/2 cup
Yogurt – 1 cup
Red chilli powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Roasted cumin seeds powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Roasted fennel seeds powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Chat masala – 1/2 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves – 1 tablespoon (finely chopped)
Method
Whisk the yogurt with all the masala powder and salt. Soak boondhi in a warm water for 10 mins. Drain it and squeeze the extra water Don’t mash the boondhi. Add the yogurt to boondhi
Serve immediately or chilled with any biryani, pulav, pulao or roti or stuffed chapathi
