Every time I make chana masala or punjabi chole I purposely make little more so that I can make
this open sandwich. Some time I make stuffed sandwich with it also. It
also provides nice after school snacks for the kids. It is very nutritious and rich in
protein. You can enjoy it for your lazy weekend brunch also.
Ingredients:
Chana masala or pujabi chole – 2 tablespoon per bread
Bread slices – as needed
Finely chopped onion – 1/2 teaspoon per bread
coriander leaves / cilantro – 1/4 teaspoon per bread
Sweet chutney – 1 to 2 teaspoon per bread
Butter / Plant based butter for vegan option – 1/4 teaspoon per bread
Method
Butter the bread on both side. Heat the flat pan or using toaster toast it. I have used flat pan. When the pan is hot put the buttered bread and toast it. Turn it over and toast other side. While the 2nd side is getting toasted spread the chana masala. Sprinkle raw onion and coriander leaves. Add sweet chutney. Once done carefully remove it from the pan
Serve hot
