Broccoli Rice

My kids love Broccoli. For me I am still finding ways to include it as part of my diet.. It is one vegetable I cannot have it. I normally I do Broccoli wrap or simply cook it with salt in microwave or simple salad. I was able to do eat a bit. Kids and my hubby loved it
Ingredients:


Broccoli – 1 Cup
Cooked Brown Rice – 1.5 Cup
Salt per taste
Onion – 1
Garlic – 5 pods (chopped finely)
Ginger – 1 inch (Chopped finely)
Green Chillies – 3-4 slit into two
Cumin Seeds – 1 teaspoon
Chinese 5 (five) spice powder – 1 teaspoon
Oil – 2 teaspoon
Coriander Leaves – 3 tablespoon
Mint Leaves – 1 tablespoon
Lemon Juice – 1 teaspoon
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 teaspoom



Method:


Heat the kada and add oil and when it is hot add cumin seeds. Let it crackle. Add ginger Garlic. Fry till garlic is brown in color. Add Onion fry till onion is soft. Add Green Chillies broccoli and cook it with salt. Sprinkle water as required. Don’t over cook it. Crunchy Broccoli will taste better. 

Add Salt, Turmeric powder, Chinese 5 spice powder, Lemon juice. Mix well. cook for 2 mins. Add Cooked brown / white rice, Lemon juice and mix well. Switch it off. Add mint leaves and coriander leaves and mix well. 

Serve hot with your favourite raitha
