I love savoury cookies. But my rest of family prefer sweeter ones. Somehow I feel the saltier ones goes well with tea. So once in a while I bake savory version. I saw this recipe on a Kelloggs box when I brought plain cornflakes sometime ago. It looked so easy so I noted it down. Finally I managed to try out recently. It came out pretty good
Ingredients:
Cornflakes – 40g
Plain flour – 150g
Baking powder – 1 teaspoon
Unsalted Butter – 80g
Oil – 20g ( I have used sunflower oil)
Salt – pinch
Mixed herb – 3/4 teaspoon
Method:
Grind the cornflakes till fine powder using blender or food processor. Add this to flour, salt, Mix well.
Melt butter, mixed herb and add oil to it. Add this to the dry ingredients. Slowly bring together and make a smooth dough. Divide them into equal size of balls (according to your preference for the size).
Slightly flatten it by pressing between palms. Place it on a baking tray lined with baking sheet.
Preheat the oven and bake the cookies at 180 degree C for 15-18 mins. Let it cool down completely
Store it in air tight container
