I love any simple kheer recipes. I am very big fan of caramel. Other day I was busy with office work and wanted to eat something sweet also healthier than traditional Indian sweets. I remember I saw this kheer in a cookery show sometime ago. So decided to try it out. If you like Caramel you should definitely give it a try
Ingredients
Milk – 2 cups
Sugar – 2 tablespoon
Mixed nuts and raisins – 2.5 tablespoon (I have used cashew and almonds)
Ghee – 1 teaspoon
Cardamom powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Method:
Fry the nuts in a teaspoon of ghee. Keep it aside
In the same pan add sugar and make caramel. Make sure you make this in low flame
Add milk and let it boil till it is reduced into 3/4th Add cardamom powder and fried nuts. Switch it off
Serve hot or chilled. I prefer chilled
