Eggless Dulce de Leche Cake

When I made Dulce de Leche. I had few recipes in my mind. But by the time I have decided to use, half of it almost disappear. I realized that my kids were having this like snack :-). To me having it alone is eating too much of sweet / sugar. I wanted to try cake with it. It came out pretty good. Loved the mild taste of caramel in it.

Ingredients

Milk – 200 ml (hot milk)
Vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon
Cake flour or all purpose flour – 200 g
Oats – 25 g
Baking powder – 2 teaspoon
Baking soda – 1 teaspoon
Dulce de leche – 300g
Butter – 110g
Yogurt – 2 tablespoon (I have used greek 0 fat yogurt)

Method:

Grease baking dish generously with butter. Preheat the oven at 180C. Sift together the flour, baking powder and baking soda. Mix in Oats. Mix well

Beat together the butter and the dulce de leche until it is combined. Mix in the yogurt and beat again. Add Vanilla essence and hot Milk and mix it well. fold in the flour mix

Fold in the flour mixture, Mix well till it is incorporated. and the batter is smooth.

Pour the batter into the cake tin and bake at 180C for 30-40 minutes or cooked well (when insert toothpick it should come out clean). Mine got done in 33 mins

Enjoy it
