I had mistakenly ordered 2 pack of green apple. Sometime ago in a magazine I saw recipe for geren apple but didn’t note it down. I wanted to try out chutney with green apple. So decided to try out on my own. I Used same recipe of many of my chutney recipes. It came out super good it is good for idli dosa or even to mix with rice. It is definite keep recipe
Ingredients
Green apples – 2 (medium size. Cubed)
Chana dal – 1.5 tablespoon
Urad dal – 1.5 tablespoon
Red chili – 5-7(adjust to your spice level)
Salt to taste
Oil – 1 teaspoon
Tamarind – 1/4 teaspoon
Garlic – 3 pods

Method
Dry roast dals and red chili. Keep it aside

Heat oil. Add garlic, apple and salt. Fry for 3 mins. Add tamarind. mix well

Switch it off. Let it cool down. Grind the chilli and dal first and add apple to grind again. Chutney is ready!
