Idli chaat Recipe – Left over idli Recipe – Snack Recipe – Kids friendly Recipe

So far all the kids love yogurt / curd (at least in my family). They love yogurt and chat combo as well. I have posted Mor kulambu idli before. It is one of my family’s favourite. So I am pretty sure idli chaat would be big hit as it has their favourite ingredients. It is a healthy alternative to Chaats with fried items like Papdi chaat. It is also a perfect way to make your kids eat south Indian dishes without big fuss
Ingredients

Min idlies – 20
Curd – 1/4 cup
Salt to taste
Red chutney / sweet chutney – 2 tablespoon (optional)
Green chutney – 2 teaspoon (optional)
Plain sev / Bhoodi / Bhoodhi – 2 tablespoon
Coriander leaves – 2 tablespoon
Roasted cumin powder – 1 teaspoon
Green chillies – 2
Cashewnuts – 1 tablespoon

Method:

Mix in yogurt, cumin powder, Salt, green chillies and soaked (for 30 mins) cashewnuts. Grind to smooth paste

Shallow fry the idlies with 1 teaspoon of oil or toast it in bread toaster without oil. I have shallow fried it

Arrange it in a plate. Pour the yogurt on top of it. Add chutenys and seve/bhoodi

Enjoy it
