By now you guys realized I have a liking for grains. I am lucky that my entire family also like Ragi, Kambu etc..Incorporating millets to everyone diet is not that difficult if you don’t want to go all the way you can start with smaller qty and slowly increase. I try to incorporate these into our meals. This one I have tried few times for evening snack. Only today I got the chance to click
Ingredients:
Pearl Millet (Kambu) – 1 cup
Idli rice / bar boiled rice – 1/4 cup
Urad dhal – 1/4 cup
Green chilli – 2
Ginger – 1 inch
Salt to taste
Onion – 1 (chopped finely)
Curry Leaves – 10
Coriander Leaves – 1 tablespoon (finely chopped)
Oil as required
Method:
Wash and soak Pearl Millet, Idli Rice, Urad dhal for 5-6 hours. Grind it to a slightly coarse paste with ginger, onion, green chillies. Add coriander leaves and curry leaves and mix well.
Heat the paniyaram pan and add few drops of oil in every spot. Pour the batter in each spot and let it cook. Trun over and cook it again.
Serve hot with your favourite chutney
