Karupatti Coffee Recipe – Palm Jaggery Coffee Recipe – Vara coffee with Palm jaggery – Coffee recipe

I am not a big fan of Coffee esp black coffee. I have started using Karupatti or palm sugar recently. Store the palm Jaggery in fridge. Recently I have tried Black coffee with karupatti at my relative house. I liked the taste. She added ginger also. So in this recipe I have added Ginger but it is completely optional. I used instant coffee powder but you can use decotion too. What you see in the coffee is ginger pieces
Ingredients

Water – 2 cups
Instant coffee powder – 1 teaspoon
Karupatti / palm jaggery – 2 tablespoon (adjust according to your taste)
Ginger – 1 inch (optional) or ginger juice – 1/2 teaspoon


Method:

Heat the water with karupatti When melted add ginger or ginger juice if using.

Once it is completely melted add coffee powder and let it boil for 3-5 mins

Drain and serve hot
