I love smoothie with greek yogurt. This recipe is really power packed with vitamins, minerals and protein. It is perfect on the go drink and very easy to make. This is first time I have used basil seeds in smoothie. If you don’t have greek yogurt go ahead and use homemade fresh yogurt. It can be perfect cooler for this summer too
Ingredients:
Frozen Banana – 2
Kiwi – 2
Tender Coconut water – 1 cup
Yogurt – 1/2 cup ( I have used Greek yogurt)
Tender coconut – 1 tablespoon
Honey – 1 to 3 teaspoon (to your sweetness) – I didn’t add as sweetness from banana and coconut water is good enough for me
Basil seeds – 2 teaspoon
Method:
Soak the basil seeds in 1/2 cup coconut water for 15 mins. Chop the frozen banana, Kiwi into 1/2 inch pieces. Add those in food processor / blender / mixie together with yogurt and grind them to smooth paste. Add young coconut, young coconut water and honey (if using) and run the blener till you get desired consistency.
Mix in the soaked basil seeds and serve cold. This shake perfect for breakfast or for post work out replenishment
