Kulcha Easy Recipe – how to make kulcha – Simple dinner recipe

My kids love anything with plain flour. When we go out their choice is north Indian because they can get Naan, Kulcha etc.. If I want to go to South Indian restaurants it must have Batura / Bhatura. After making Naan at home they were asking for Kulcha for sometime.. It came out pretty good.
Ingredients:

Maida / All purpose flour – 2 cup
Curd / yogurt – 4 tablespoon
Milk – 1/4 cup
salt to taste
Baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Baking soda – 1/4 teaspoon
Water as required
nigella seeds / Karumseeragam / White sesame seeds  – as required ( I have used White sesame seeds)
coriander leaves – as required
butter/Oil for frying the kulcha

Method:

Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Take that in broader vessel. Make a well in the middle.

Add curd, milk, oil mix well. Add water and make a soft pliable dough. Keep it closed with wet cloth for 2 hours. Knead together to make smooth dough.

Now divide the dough into 8 equal size balls. Roll them out to small roti..

Roll them out to small roti… Sprinkle nigella seeds / sesame seeds, coriander leaves

Roll out the Kulcha Seeds and coriander leaves will stick to kulcha. Now heat the flat pan and place the rolled out kulcha with coriander leaves side on the top

Heat flat pan and when it is hot add Kulcha and sprinkle oil/ butter around it turn it over and cook.

Once done serve it with your favourite side
