Maida Roti

My mum used to hire a cook whenever we have function at home. He makes lot of ceylon food. One of it is Maida Roti and Coconut Sambal. Kids loved it last time when we were in India. I seldom do it. Yesterday when I was checking the menu for dinner kids wanted to do this.  It is almost same taste with less much oil. Yet, it is not healthy (Maida is too refined flour almost no vitamins in it :-))



Ingredients:


Maida – 2 Cups
Fresh grated Coconut – 2 tablespoon
Milk –  1/2 Cup
Salt per taste


Method:


Mix all the above ingredients and water and make the dough
Dough should be same consistency as chapatti
Leave the dough for 1- 2 hours

Take lemon size ball and rollout like chapathi
Heat flat tawa. When it is hot put Rolled out roti
Put 1/2 teaspoon oil around the roti
Cook it  and turn to the other side and cook it also (cook both sides till brown spot appears)
