Being grown up in Trichy manapparai murukku is a more common snack I had during my school/ college days. Even though it is one of the common snacks it is mostly store brought my mum makes kai murukku or murukku(without onion). After starting the blog I wanted to try this Manapparai murukku for a while but was hesitating whether it will come out well as it is with pure rice flour. I finally gave it a try (as my sons can eat any savory snacks so I am pretty sure it will disappear in no time) It came out super yummy! it disappeared almost on the same day!
Ingredients
:
Rice flour – 1 cup
Omam / Ajwan – 1 teaspoon
black sesame seeds – 1 teaspoon
melted butter – 1 tablespoon
hing – 1/8 teaspoon
salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
Method:
Add water little by little make a smooth dough
Now take a murukku presser. Fill in a presser with dough. On a clean kitchen tissue press murukku
And Heat the oil in a curved pan. When the oil is hot add pressed murukku one by one. You have to slide each murukku slowly one by one by side of the pan. Make sure you leave enough place for murukku to move around.
