Manthakkali Kai /Brinjal Sambar – Sambar recipes

Manathakkali kai are tiny berries that are green in colour and turns black when ripe.It is known as Black nightshade in English (Kashi soppu – In Karnataka, in telugu it is Kamanchi chettu and in hindi it is Makoi. These names are from google. If you have another name pls. let me know). This kai / Keerai is very common in my household and at my in laws. They have this plant at their backyard so it is organic too. I am big fan of fruits from childhood. Now a days everytime i go to India I pack Keerai and kai.
