Yet another gluten free recipe. It is quite healthy breakfast or snack recipe. I cannot even find the difference from normal Pesarattu. These days I do either Oats Adai / Pesarattu with Channa. I got exposed to normal Pesarattu thro’ my college friend. My mum does normal pesarattu with coconut chutney. For me I prefer onion chutney. This can be perfect dish to be included in your diet plan
Ingredients:
Green gram dhal – 2 cups
Oats – 1 cup
Green chillies – 3-4 (adjust to your spice level)
Ginger – 1 inch
Onion – 1 (chopped finely)
Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
Pepper corns – 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
Oil for Shallow frying – 1/4 teaspoon for each dosa
Curry leaves – 10
Coriander leaves – 2 tablespoon
Method
Soak Green gram dhal for 3 hours and add oats and soak it for 30 mins. Grind it together with ginger, cumin seeds, ginger, pepper corn, curry leaves and onion. Add salt and mix well.. Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
Heat flat pan and grease it with oil. Pour 1 and 1/2 laddle and spread it in circular motion. Drizzle oil around it. Cook it in medium flame. Turn it over and cook it also. Take it out and serve.
serve hot with your favourite chutney or sambar
