Oats tabbouleh recipe – simple Tabouli salad recipe – Oats Recipe – Vegan Recipes – Healthy recipes



Tabbouleh is a very simple salad. I have tried it with oats, quinoa or red rice and they all taste wonderful. The flavor of parsley is really good. In this post, I am using oats (rolled oats) but, you can replace it with quinoa, red rice, steel cut oats or even brown rice. It is quite refreshing in this summer. I didn’t have pomegranate so I missed it but the addition of pomegranate really enhances the nutritional value and taste of this recipe.

Ingredients:


Rolled Oats – 1 cup
Parsley – 1/2 cup
Mint leaves – few (chopped)
Pepper to taste
Salt to taste
Cucumber – 1/2 cup
Tomatoes – 1/2 cup
Lemon juice – 2 tablespoons
Spring onion – 2 tablespoons (green part)
Olive oil – 2 teaspoons (I didn’t add)
Olives – 1 or 2 (optional. Chopped. i didn’t use)
Roasted Peanut – 2 tablespoon


Method:


Soak Oats in hot water for 10 min

Drain it. Add All the ingredients except pepper powder & Mix

Add Pepper powder mix again

Serve!

    My son likes this recipe too much, earlier he never agreeing to eat oats but after this recipe, he eats oats happily. 🙂
