Onion, Garlic Chutney

Me and my Family love Garlic. Any thing with garlic. Just not raw garlic or garlic smell. So in most of the recipe I fry Garlic first before adding it. This chutney is all of our favourite. This goes well with any dosa, Idli even as spread on bread


Ingredients:



Small Onion – 1 Cup (Peeled) or big onion – 3 (sliced thinly)
Garlic – 15 pods
Red Chillies – 4 (Adjust to ur spice)

Tamarind – marble size ball
Salt per taste
Oil – 2 tablespoon
Mustard seeds – 1/4 teaspoon
Curry Leaves – 10 
Urad dhal – 1 teaspoon


Method:


Heat Kada and when it is hot add 1 tablespoon of 
When it is hot add Garlic and fry till it is brown in color
Add Onion and fry till it is brown in color
Add red chilli and fry for 2-3 mins
Add Tamarind and salt
Let it cool down

When it is cool down and transfer to mixie / blender
Grind it to a paste (slightly coarse consistency)
Heat rest of the oil in the kada
When Oil is hot add mustard seeds and when it splutter add urad dhal
When it is brown in color add curry leaves and fry for 30 sec
Add this to the Chutney and run the mixer for 3-4 sec
Transfer it to serving bowl and serve the Chutney
