Peas soup is very healthy and simple soup dish. If you want a light dish or if it is rainy/ cold outside, this is a perfect dish. It is also a very colorful dish perfect for a blog post. I do love peas however my 2nd son is not a big fan of peas, especially in a soup… but these days he is in boarding school so I get to try some peas dish. I love the combination of Milk in this but if you want to make it as vegan u can replace it with Cashew or even coconut milk. With toasted bread, you can have it for light meals.
Ingredients:
Peas – 1 cup (Frozen or Fresh I have used frozen)
Garlic – 10 pods (Peal and chop it)
Small Onion/ Shallots – 5-7 (sliced )
Salt to taste
Red chili flakes to taste
Milk – 1/2 cup (I have used full fat)
Oil – 3 teaspoons (I have used coconut oil)
Method:
Heat pan with oil. Add garlic and fry till brown in color. Add onions and fry until transparent.
Add peas and saute for 2 mins. Switch it off. Once it cools down, grind it to smooth paste with soaked almonds.
