Pepper, Curry Leaves Oats

After I tried the Oats Uppuma, My son wanted something different also. Today morning since I haven’t done my weekly groceries shopping nothing left in the fridge. So was thinking what to do for him. I decided to try Pepper and curry leaves powder Oats. It is so easy, tasty and healthy too. This is perfect for weekend cooking and brunch



Ingredients:


Rolled Oats – 1 Cup
Pepper powder – 2 teaspoon
Curry leaves powder – 3 tablespoon (Put the curry leaves in microwave for 10 Mins or till it is crispy) and use the hand to crush it or use mixie / blender to powder it
Garlic – 12 Pods (finely chopped)
Salt to taste
Oil – 1/2 teaspoon


Method:


Heat the kada 
Fry the oats in the oil till nice smell comes and keep it aside
Heat the kada and add oil and chopped garlic
Fry till garlic turns brown
Add water (1 1/2 cup) and salt
Add Oats and let it cook
When it is 3/4 th cooked add pepper powder and curry leaves powder and mix it well

Switch it off and serve hot
