Ingredients:
Poha (Beaten rice) – 1.5 cups
Channa dal / Bengal Gram dhal – 3 tablespoon (Soaked for 30 mins). If you have forgotten to soak you can use bengal gram flour – 2 tablesoon
Bread – 1 (remove the sides and cut into pieces. I have used wheat bread)
Green Chillies – 3 (adjust to ur spice level)
Fennel seeds – 1 teaspoon
Ginger – 2 teaspoon (finely chopped)
Curry Leaves – 1 tablespoon (finely chopped)
Coriander Leaves – 1 tablespoon finely chopped)
Rice flour – 2 tablespoon
Salt per taste
Oil to deep fry
Onion – 1 medium ( finely chopped. Since my son is not a big fan of onion so I have used only 2 tablespoon)
Method:
Clean the Poha / Beaten rice. Wash and soak for 10 mins. Drain the water. Mash it with hands
Add all other ingredients and mix well. Make lemon size balls
Heat the kada with oil. When Oil is hot touch ur finger in the water and flatten the ball into disc (should not be too thick) and put it in hot oil. You can put few at a time (depends on your kada size). Once cooked and turn it over and cook till it is brown in color and “shhh” sound subsides. Repeat the process until all the balls are made. (If the dough is watery add more rice flour or bread. . If too much of water used vada will be oily)
