Making seedai is a process .. I always do Uppu Seedai, Vella Seedai…for Krishna Jayanthi. However this time I wanted to try something different.. I was browsing for recipes and I found Rava uppu seedai easy to do .. So I wanted to try this for this year.  I followed recipe from here. This came out very well. It was so crispy too.
Ingredients:


Rava – 1/2 cup
Roasted gram dhal / Chutney Dal (Pottukadalai) – 2.5 tbsp
Butter(at room temperature) – 2 teaspoon
Grated Coconut – 2 tablespoon
Hing – 1/8 tsp
Jeera powder – 1/8 tsp
Pepper powder – 1/8 tsp
Sesame Seeds – 1 tsp
Salt – to taste
Oil – For deep frying


Method:

Dry Roast Rava and powder it. Using mixie / Blender powder roasted gram dal

Dry Roast Grated coconut 

Add rava, roasted gram dhal, butter, jeera powder, sesame seeds, pepper powder and salt, roasted grated coconut. Add water little by little and make tight dough. Leave it for 1 hr.

Make small size balls.. and leave it on kitchen tissue paper and leave it for 15 mins.Heat he oil in a deep pan..

Once oil is heated drop few balls carefully, (Be at a safe distance to be more cautious.) let it cook in low medium flame roll over to cook evenly.Once its golden brown take it out and drain in kitchen towel.
Enjoy it. Store it in Air tight container
