This is so simple that even bachelors can enjoy. It is good way of using left over rice. I have tried both with white rice as well as brown rice. Both taste good. For this post I have used white rice. For this post I have used carrot. but you can use grated cabbage too. This is perfect for kids / after office snacks
Ingredients
cooked rice – 1 cup
Onion – 1 (finely chopped)
Ginger – 1 inch (finely chopped)
Coriander leaves – 1 tablespoon (finely chopped)
Mint Leaves – 5 (finely chopped)
Cumin powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Red chilli powder – 1 teaspoon (adjust to your spice level)
Besan flour / Channa dhal powder – 6 tablespoon
Rice flour – 1 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Carrot – 1/2 cup (finely chopped)
Oil for deep frying
Method
Mash the rice and add rest of ingredients other than oil. And make thick dough (dough should be too watery or very tight. If you use spoon and drop it should fall off). Add water if required
Heat the deep curved pan and add oil. When oil is hot take a small spoonful of paste and drop it in oil slowly. Cook it in medium flame.
Once all the sides are cooked drain the extra oil and leave it on kitchen tissue to drain the excess oil
Enjoy!
