My kids and hubby are big fans of broccoli. They need something else especially for weekday dinner in addition to main dish. So I normally do salad, soup or butter corn or something that is simple yet bit healthy. Boiled broccoli or roasted broccoli is something they love. But I never got chance to click. Today I managed to do it 🙂
It is one of the simplest dishes to prepare for evening snacks or breakfast. You can cut it into very small pieces so that the kids can eat it as well. To be honest, they’ll adore it. Broccoli is loaded with health benefits. Even though it is a seasoned vegetable, it is best to include it in your menu.
Ingredients
Broccoli – 2 cups, cut into 2-inch-long florets
Red Chili flakes – 1/2 teaspoon
Garlic – 5 chopped finely
Lemon Juice – 1 tablespoon (reduce if you want milder flavour or your lemon is strong)
Olive oil – 2 tablespoon
Black Pepper – 1/4 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Parmesan Cheese – 1/4 cup
Method
Preheat the oven to 230 degree C (450 degree F).
Separate broccoli to flowerlets. In a bowl add the broccoli, red pepper flakes and garlic, and drizzle with the olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and toss to coat. Leave it for 30 mins
Spread this in the baking tray and Roast until the stems are tender-crisp and lightly golden brown, 15 to 18 minutes.
Enjoy it hot
