Sago sundal is simple and nutritious food. Perfect for festival day fasting.  Sundal is must for Navaratri. you can try this simple sundal which is quite filling too. It is good for after school snack too. It gives long lasting energy. If you soak both dal and sago this can be prepared in less than 15 mins. I have used ghee to season it but you can replace it with your favourite oil to make it vegan. This can be served for breakfast too. Do try out this sundal for this festive season
Ingredients



Sago – 1 cup
Yellow moong dal – 4 tablespoons
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves – 1 tablespoon (chopped)
Coconut – 3 tablespoon


For Tempering
Oil / ghee – 1 teaspoon
Mustard seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
Urad dal – 1 teaspoon
Channa dal  – 1 teaspoon
Green chillies – 1 (slit)
Curry leaves – 10 (chopped)



Method:


Wash and soak Sago for 5-7 hrs with just enough water to cover it. Soak yellow moong dal for 1 hr. Cook it

Heat oil / ghee in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dal, channa dal, curry leaves and green chillies. Let Mustard seeds pop. Add cooked dal mix well

Add soaked sago mix well.  cook for 2 mins. Add salt mix well. Add coconut, coriander leaves. mix well

Switch it off. Serve hot
