Semiya Adai – vermicelli Adai – vermicelli pancake – Instant Simple reciepes

I love to try new things. I was reading a novel and in that the author was mentioning about vermicelli adai. I was curious. Later when I called my mum I asked her she told me I could do it with rice flour and yogurt / buttermilk. Next day I tried it for my lunch with Ragi vermicelli but you can try this with normal one too
Ingredients:


Ragi vermicelli / Plain vermicelli – 1 cup
Rice flour – 1/4 cup
Yogurt / buttermilk (thicker version) – 1 cup
Salt to taste
Green chillies – 2 chopped finely
Onion – 3 tablespoon (finely chopped)
Curry leaves – 10 (finely chopped)
Coriander leaves – 1 tablespoon (finely chopped. I forgot to add)
Oil as needed

Method:


Cook the vermicelli with salt just good enough to be soft. Drain the water. Add rest of the ingredients make a thick batter (dosa batter consistency). Keep it aside for 10 mins
Heat the flat pan. when it is hot add laddle full of batter and spread (it needs to be thicker). Sprinkle oil around it. Cook it. When it is cooked turn it over and cook again. 

Serve hot with your favourite chutney or podi.

    wow adai with semiya looks so delicious and tempting me !! thats too ragi vermicelli sounds very healthy .. wonderful recipe !!
