Spiced Buttermilk (Neer Mor)

I love the spiced buttermilk. This is a must at my grandma house. It is preferred over normal yogurt. This is perfect summer cooler. Healthy too. In addition to keeping body cool it also help to keep the body hydrated.   It is very simple dish. Enjoy this cooler
Ingredients


Yogurt – 1 cup ( I have used low fat)
Chilled water – 3-4 cup
Green chilli – 2-3 (chopped finely)
Ginger/Garlic paste – 1/2 teaspoon
Mustard seeds- 1/4 teaspoon
Urad Dhal – 1 teaspoon
Bengal Gram Dhal – 1 teaspoon
Asafoetida – Pinch
Salt per taste
Curry Leaves – 10
Coriander Leaves – 1 tablespoon (finely chopped)
Oil – 1 teaspoon



Method:


Beat the curd and add water to it. Keep it aside

Heat the kada and add oil. When oil is hot add mustard seeds when it start to pop add dhals and fry till it is brown in color. Add asafoetida, ginger garlic paste, Curry leaves and green chillies. Fry for a min. Add the seasoning to buttermilk. Add chopped coriander. 

Serve chilled. Enjoy the summer!
